Every Christmas I’ve always had a Christmas themed quiz. A lot of you have requested this idea to be used more than just once every year, so here it is.
Today we kick off the first round of the themed quizzes. This week and the following 3 week’s quizzes will all have a common theme.
The themes are not passed on holydays or anything special, just something random that fit 5 screenshots. The themes are all purely visual and not a hidden link between the screenshots, they are easy to spot and told at the beginning of each week.
Identifying one screenshot will not help you identifying another.

Good news to those of you who like these themed quizzed I’ve done every Christmas and a single Halloween or two. In the beginning of next year, I’m planning to run a whole series of themed quizzes. The themes won’t be based on holydays or events, but simply just on about any theme I could find in 5 or more screenshots.

The difficulty of the screenshots have been slightly eased off, the past some weeks and it shows. No less than 10 people on the Hall-o-Fame with a perfect score of 80 points for past month.
Grats to Khayman, fodder, Lokimom, Docferal, PBrider, bigpoppabon, Pretzel311, LeopardDaisy, Captain Video and Rollo Tomasi for the 80 points and an extra grats for Rolle Tomasi for an insane total of 104 perfect scores! | |
Now and then I still see people using their own local translation of the movie title instead of the original title, when submitting answers. Some of them I recognize, others just look like some kind of funny language to me. But nonetheless, as stated in the FAQ, local translations of the titles do NOT count as correct.
I think must of you already know that, but sometimes go with the local title, because you don’t know the original title.
If so, try searching the IMDB’s AKA database for the original title. In must cases it can help you find the correct original title.

The past weeks I've been having some trouble calculating the scores for the Hall-o-Fame and this week it won’t calculate at all. Apparently the server have become too slow or the amount of scores to calculate have become too vast.
I’m looking into ways to optimise the calculation script to solve the issue, but until then we’ll have live with a late update of the Hall-o-Fame.
Rest assured that NONE of your scores are lost, it’s just the Hall-o-Fame it self that suffers.
**Update** The issue have now been resolved and the Hall-o-Fames are now being calculated correctly again. | |
